COMPOSITION
Each film-coated tablet contains:
- Etoricoxib IP 60 mg
- Thiocolchicoside IP 4 mg
CLINICAL PHARMACOLOGY
Etoricoxib provides anti-inflammatory effects, while thiocolchicoside is a muscle relaxant acting via
GABA-A receptor modulation.
INDICATIONS AND USAGE
Used for acute musculoskeletal pain, low back pain with muscle spasms, post-traumatic pain, and osteoarthritis.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Hypersensitivity to any component. Contraindicated in epilepsy and myasthenia gravis (due to thiocolchicoside).
PRECAUTIONS
Caution in patients with gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, or hepatic disorders.
DRUG INTERACTIONS
May enhance effects of CNS depressants and interact with warfarin, lithium, and methotrexate.
PREGNANCY & LACTATION
Avoid use during pregnancy and lactation due to potential risk from thiocolchicoside.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
One tablet once or twice daily depending on severity and clinical condition.
ADVERSE REACTIONS
GI discomfort, dizziness, somnolence, muscle weakness, and allergic reactions.
