COMPOSITION
Each tablet contains:
• Acebrophylline 100 mg
• Acetylcysteine 600 mg
CLINICAL PHARMACOLOGY
Acebrophylline is a bronchodilator with mucoregulating and anti-inflammatory effects. Acetylcysteine is a mucolytic that helps liquefy and expel thick mucus.
INDICATIONS AND USAGE
• Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
• Asthma
• Bronchitis
• Productive cough with mucus congestion
CONTRAINDICATIONS
• Hypersensitivity to ingredients
• Active peptic ulcers
• Severe hepatic or renal impairment
PRECAUTIONS
• Caution in GI disorders, asthma exacerbation, or hepatic disease
• Use under medical supervision in elderly or debilitated patients
DRUG INTERACTIONS
• May interact with theophyllines, antibiotics, and cough suppressants
• Risk of additive GI irritation
PREGNANCY & LACTATION
Use only if clearly indicated. Avoid during lactation unless benefits outweigh risks.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
One tablet twice daily after meals or as directed by physician.
ADVERSE REACTIONS
• Nausea, vomiting, gastric discomfort
• Skin rash, bronchospasm (rare)
