COMPOSITION
Each capsule contains:
- Acebrophylline 100 mg
CLINICAL PHARMACOLOGY
Acebrophylline is a bronchodilator with mucolytic and anti-inflammatory properties.
It combines ambroxol and theophylline-7 acetic acid, reducing bronchial inflammation and enhancing
mucociliary clearance.
INDICATIONS AND USAGE
Indicated for the treatment of:
- COPD
- Bronchial asthma
- Chronic bronchitis
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Contraindicated in:
- Hypersensitivity to xanthine derivatives
- Acute myocardial infarction
- Seizure disorders
PRECAUTIONS
Caution in:
- Hypertensive patients
- History of peptic ulcer or arrhythmia
- Hepatic or renal impairment
DRUG INTERACTIONS
May interact with beta-blockers, diuretics, and other bronchodilators.
Monitor theophylline levels when co-administered with other xanthines.
PREGNANCY & LACTATION
Use only if benefits outweigh risks during pregnancy.
Not recommended during lactation without medical advice.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
One capsule twice daily after food or as directed by the physician.
