COMPOSITION
Each capsule contains:
- Pantoprazole Sodium 40 mg
- Domeperidone 30 mg
CLINICAL PHARMACOLOGY
- Pantoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor that decreases gastric acid secretion by inhibiting the H+/K+ ATPase in the gastric parietal cells.
- Domperidone is a dopamine D2 receptor antagonist that enhances gastrointestinal motility and controls nausea and vomiting.
INDICATIONS AND USAGE
Indicated for the treatment of:
- Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD)
- Gastric and peptic ulcers
- Reflux esophagitis
- Dyspepsia
- Regurgitation
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Contraindicated in patients with:
- Known hypersensitivity to pantoprazole, domperidone, or any component of the formulation
- Prolactinoma
- Gastrointestinal hemorrhage, obstruction or perforation
PRECAUTIONS
Use with caution in patients with:
- Hepatic or renal impairment
- Risk of QT prolongation
- Electrolyte imbalance
DRUG INTERACTIONS
Pantoprazole may reduce the absorption of drugs that require gastric pH.
Domperidone may interact with drugs that prolong QT interval or inhibit CYP3A4.
PREGNANCY & LACTATION
Use only if clearly needed during pregnancy.
Domperidone is excreted in breast milk; caution advised for lactating women.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
One capsule once daily before breakfast or as directed by a physician.
ADVERSE REACTIONS
- Pantoprazole: Headache, diarrhea, nausea, abdominal pain.
- Domperidone: Dry mouth, dizziness, QT prolongation (rare).
